Adopt Joaquin

About Joaquin

Species scientific name: Alouatta caraya
Age/sex: Adult male
Likes: Back scratches
Special skills: Stealthiest monkey
Best friend: Coconut

Joaquin is quite the protector of his group. He is always the first one to check out what’s going on and threaten whatever or whomever is near him. You can often catch him hanging by his tail from a branch grunting at you. He will either be napping with Coconut or keeping a watchful eye on the newest member of his group, Sara’s infant. It’s a full-time job taking care of everyone, especially as Sara and Coconut are normally on opposite ends of their home range from each other.

Joaquin is an adult male that is a part of the group we call the ‘police’ group. This group lives in a small field that is surrounded by three gardens in the San Francisco neighborhood. Here, Joaquin watches over the others, but don’t let that fool you, he likes to create mischief of his own. Whenever he gets a chance, he will come down to the ground and explore the neighbors’ gardens or chicken coups.

If you adopt Joaquin, consider also adopting his best friend Coconut.

You can adopt Joaquin for one year for £50.
