Environmental education internships

We transform the way young Paraguayans learn about their environment with our environmental education programme Voces de la Naturaleza. It’s based on the 3Cs: Creativity, Curiosity, and a Connection to nature. What started as a single after-school activity in 2015 has grown into a network of Eco-Clubs and environmental education activities that stretch across Paraguay.

Join our Voces de la Naturaleza team and empower Paraguayan children to become eco-leaders in their community.

Environmental education Internship

As an environmental education intern, you’ll work to bring Paraguayan children closer to their natural heritage. Through our Voces de la Naturaleza curriculum, you’ll help them learn about their environment and its interconnections, and help children build skills which will prepare them to become eco-leaders.

A typical Eco-Club lesson includes interactive presentations, arts and crafts, experiments, group works and, of course, lots of time to explore the outdoors.

what you’ll be doing

Your tasks will be multifaceted. You’ll have the opportunity to set priorities according to your own interests. You’ll:

  • Deliver environmental education to children aged 7-16 in a variety of settings, such as school classes, extracurricular eco-clubs and one-on-one lessons

  • Help plan and coordinate lessons and activities

  • Lead activities, assist in lessons, and chaperon groups on excursions

  • Help us develop our curriculum, including introducing new topics and themes

  • Organise and lead special events

  • Perform outreach work to promote our curriculum, including through social media and school visits

  • Design and develop new ideas on how to enhance our environmental education programme

Our environmental education internship is designed to give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of education while making a real contribution to environmental conservation in Paraguay. To be eligible for this internship, you should have at least an intermediate knowledge of Spanish.
